Easy to find... peace and tranquillity
London to Castell Malgwyn takes about 4 hours. Drive to the end of the M4, then take the A48 to Carmarthen. Turn right at the roundabout, following the Hospital Signs, onto the A40 towards Llandeilo to go around Carmarthen. Follow this for 1 mile and then turn left onto A484 signposted to Cardigan. Pass Carmarthen hospital, turn right at mini roundabout and continue on A484 for 23 miles through Newcastle Emlyn (7 miles to go) and Cenarth, (3 miles) until reaching Llechryd.
In the village of Llechryd, just before the road bends to the right up the hill, turn left over the old stone bridge, signposted to Cilgerran. Cross the River Teifi then immediately after the bridge you will see on your right the imposing gates and lodge of Castell Malgwyn. A tree lined drive takes you passed the clock tower and stables and finishes at the car park in front of the hotel.
From Aberystwyth take the A487 and at the Cardigan roundabout turn left towards Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen on the A484. Drive 3 miles, climbing a long hill and descending again. Pass through Llechryd village and at the bottom of the hill, as the road bears left, turn right over bridge and hotel drive is immediately on your right.
From Fishguard take the A487 towards Aberystwyth. Turn right at second Cardigan roundabout onto the A484, and proceed as above.
The entrance to the hotel is approached over the beautiful Llechryd Bridge
