Castell
Malgwyn’s location in Pembrokeshire on the River Teifi is ideal for the many
attractions and activities in the area.
Fly Fishing:
1 mile of River fishing, which is free to hotel residents, and the 25
miles of TTA waters. Training courses and river guides.
Swimming: Ideal location for enjoying a relaxing swim in the sea
from one of our local beaches. Alternatively for those of you who are
eager to learn to swim or improve your technique why not have a short break here
and take lessons locally with Ian
& Cheryl Cross. Our guests have benefited from their use of the
Alexander Technique which has proved to be invaluable to even the most die hard of
aquaphobics.
Walking
& Bird Watching : Walks
along the riverbank through the gorge to Cilgerran: pass the old stable block,
the salmon traps, quay, ruins and the quarries until you reach the castle. Look out for
otters and kingfishers and listen to the sounds of nature. Walk in the grounds
through the arboretum woods and up the Morganau Stream.
Cardigan
and its surrounding areas are a walkers paradise. The beautiful Cardigan Bay
coastal paths, the mysterious Teifi Valley and the Preseli Hills National Park.
Pembroke and
Ceredigion Coastal Paths meet at Cardigan, providing access to some of the most
picturesque coast in Britain. Bird watchers will be delighted. Dolphins,
Porpoises and Seals are seen nearly every day. Preseli Hills National Park give moorland walking.
Cycling:
Opposite the entrance to the hotel is the cycle track, follow the signs for
an enjoyable ride in the beautiful countryside.
Clay
Pigeon Shooting: Clay pigeon shooting is available close by at the
Cilgerran clay pigeon shooting club which is approximately a mile and a half
from the hotel.
Kayaking:
Bring your own kayak and enjoy kayaking in the Teifi River that runs
alongside of the hotel.

Mwnt, Tresaith, Newport, Newquay, Aberporth, Llangrannog....
